The ranking of America’s Best Animal Hospitals recognizes the top 500 animal hospitals in the United States based on quality of care provided. To identify the top 500 animal hospitals, we conducted an extensive and thorough desk research effort to create a database of over 15,000 animal hospitals. We collected and analyzed more than 5 million customer ratings and reviews from social media for these animal hospitals from the last five years. The hospitals were evaluated in terms of their overall customer ratings and 8 key categories of service and facility quality.
